Half in Ten Training: New Social Media Strategies to Fight Poverty

Center for American Progress Action Fund May 3, 2012 at 4:00 pm

Join Half in Ten for a training on how to leverage Pinterest to advance the fight against poverty. Given Pinterest’s focus on the visual, we can use this exciting new platform to share infographics, personal stories, and more to make the case for good jobs, a strong safety net, and the need to protect low-income Americans in deficit reduction. This training will also cover best practices for using social media to urge the hosts of Sunday talk shows to push their guests to articulate their policy recommendations and priorities on issues of poverty, tax fairness, military spending, and safety net cuts.
