Creating Good Jobs: Strategies to Cut Poverty and Build Lasting Economic Stability
On April 13, national experts convened at the Center for American Progress for “Creating Good Jobs: Strategies to Cut Poverty and Build Lasting Economic Stability.” They discussed a range of job creation strategies, including recent research on low-wage workers and the challenges they face in the current labor market; federal policy recommendations to engage dislocated workers including women, youth, and those living in urban communities; efforts to increase workplace flexibility; and effective community partnerships to create better paying jobs for low-wage workers.
