Half in Ten and the Coalition on Human needs recently hosted Laid Off and Left Out, a webinar on the importance of unemployment insurance. As you may have heard on the call, the expiration of unemployment insurance benefits, a program the American public widely supports, would have dire consequences for jobless workers and the overall economy. Since Congress has only a few more days to extend this critical program, the time to act is now.
